What if this potent plant had been purposely suppressed only to become yet another “forbidden medicine” from nature’s bountiful and inexpensive pharmacy?
What if that plant was Cannabis?
References to cannabis use as a medicine in Chinese culture date back to sometime around 2,800 BC. It was listed in the Pen Ts’ao medical pharmacopeia and compendium of the legendary Chinese Emperor Shen-Nung.
“During the 19th century more than a hundred papers on the clinical application of cannabis appeared in the world’s medical journals. Physicians found cannabis to be effective in the treatment of virtually all the ailments that it was diagnosed for by the ancients, as well as numerous other medical problems.” [1a]

What is COPD?For those who are unfamiliar, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) is an umbrella term used to describe a group of distinct, often overlapping obstructive lung diseases that include: chronic bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectasis, and emphysema. All forms of COPD are characterized by chronic breathing difficulties, varying degrees of excess mucous production, as well as cumulative lung tissue damage from chronic inflammation.
It’s the 3rd leading cause of death (by disease) in the United States. Depending on your source, 12 to 14 million people have been officially diagnosed with COPD. Experts estimate that in reality there likely is an equal number of people who have COPD but don’t know it (undiagnosed). Shockingly, the number of COPD cases has risen by 41.5% since 1982.”
Jeff had suffered with repeated bouts of bronchitis; one of those attacks was severe enough to land him in the ER where he was officially diagnosed with COPD, at only 36 years of age by an emergency room physician in late 2008. At a follow-up visit with his family physician it was reaffirmed that he indeed had stage 2 COPD.
There are 4 stages of COPD.
Shortly thereafter, Jeff was hit with more bad news. In addition to COPD, he found out that he was “Alpha,” a rare hereditary, genetic deficit officially known as alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency. People with this disorder lack an enzyme that helps protect the lungs from damage.
Then to top off the previous misery, Jeff was diagnosed with hemochromatosis, an iron overload disease. Although hemoglobin is an essential molecule in the blood necessary for the transport of oxygen from the lungs to all body tissues too much can actually damage the organs.
By 2013 Jeff had progressed to full blown, stage 3 COPD. He was advised that his lungs were irreversibly scarred and that there was no cure for the disease, which would eventually kill him. At this point in his illness, climbing a flight of stairs was impossible and the simplest tasks like showering and shaving were nearly impossible. Merely walking required that Jeff have a steady supply of oxygen with a rescue inhaler handy.
Out of the blue, in March 2013 Jeff had a severe, life threatening, allergic reaction to his blood pressure medication, although he had been taking that very medication for years. He was rushed to the hospital, where ER doctors noted the allergic reaction had caused pneumonia, and a jaw infection.
Note: Pneumonia can be a death sentence for COPD patients especially in the later stages.
While hospitalized, Jeff’s medical situation became even more complicated when he contracted the dreaded MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). All told he spent 28 days in the hospital’s ICU (intensive care unit), where he slipped into a coma and was teetering on the thin red line between life and death. Amazing grace or just plain luck or both sent the grim reaper packing, enabling Jeff to check-out of the hospital alive.
As soon as Jeff was back in the comfort and quietude of his home, he resolved to find a new and effective way to beat COPD- no matter what it took and regardless of the odds. He wanted his life back on no uncertain terms and was determined to make it happen.
He knew all too well, first hand that Big Pharma medications, while somewhat effective for symptom management were hastening his decline and depressing his spirit.
The machinery looks good, the technology seems nice, the stainless steel is shiny, everything smells like isopropyl alcohol; I mean they are the greatest salesmen in the world. We’re going to go look back at this century and we’re going to laugh eventually, but we’ll cry first. This is one of the most barbaric periods. It’s going to be called the Dark Ages of Medicine. -Dr Richard Shulze, N.D., M.H
As fate would have it, Jeff was once again thrust into another proverbial fight for his life. He rolled up his sleeves, hedged his bets and ventured way off the beaten track in search of an elusive COPD alchemical elixir. Jeff’s heroic quest demanded that he spend long hours in front of his computer screen intensively researching all the seemingly fruitful avenues that might lead to a resolution of his COPD death sentence.
Along the way, he discovered many anecdotal success stories from those who were using alternative healing solutions for a long list of what modern medicine would categorize as hopeless and incurable diseases. Yet amazingly, many of these ‘terminally’ ill patients were finding various degrees of success with these unorthodox methods.
Jeff confided: “The hospitalization actually got me started on my quest to find a better way to treat my disease! You see my lungs were in such bad shape I had to be put on a vent and the doctors there said the COPD inhalers were increasing my risk of pneumonia and advised me to drop all my rescue inhalers and nebulizer treatments because I might not survive pneumonia again!”
Eventually, Jeff connected up with a wide range of COPD and alternative healing support groups via social media sites like Facebook and a few others. That’s around the time he discovered the healing powers of cannabis oil. He was able to chat online, one on one with real people who were struggling to heal all types of “incurable” diseases from cancer to epilepsy to Crohn’s and many more. They were all using cannabis oil medicinally.
He soon discovered to his utter amazement, the majority of those who were using cannabis oil medicine to treat their condition were actually improving. In fact, there were many reports of cures. And many more reports of significant health improvements beyond anything offered by mainstream medicine and Big Pharma.
Encouraged, Jeff decided he was going to get his hands on some cannabis oil to see if it would work for him.
The bevy of drugs that Jeff was taking prior to cannabis oil include: Sprivia, Proair, Symbicort, Advair, Albuterol via nebulizers; Lisiniprol, Prozac, Risperdone, Ventolin, Ativan, Loratab, Amitripilyne, oxygen, and a statin drug for high cholesterol. Despite the incredible number of Big Pharma medications Jeff was on, his condition had steadily worsened.
Jeff was fed up with pharmaceuticals: “I definitely did not receive the benefits of healing from pharma like I have with cannabis oil. I appeared to decline on pharma! The side effects I noticed from pharma is my eyesight is very bad, teeth issues and I was my prone to get pneumonia and infections,” Jeff asserted.
Amazingly, after only 2 short months of using the oil, Jeff no longer needed oxygen, discontinued all pharmaceutical medications, and started walking 2-5 miles per day, even doing some jogging. Jeff stated at that point in his recovery, “…lungs feel great and my breathing is fabulous. I have my life back.”
This photo of Jeff was taken in September 2014, after 9 months of cannabis oil, a healthy diet, and regular exercise. Jeff now weighs a more appropriate 142 lbs. compared to his previous weight of 189 lbs.! His blood pressure has normalized, he sleeps well and equally important he is still totally off all Big Pharma drugs! In short Jeff got his life back!
Jeff attests, “Most of my symptoms are not an everyday issue anymore! My symptoms of COPD used to control every aspect and decision in my life. Cannabis is a natural bronchodilator, so results are pretty immediate as far as opening up the lungs for improved breathing, as well as for lung pain! I have been on the full extract cannabis oil now for around 9 months.”
He adds: “Now my inhalers and nebulizers collect dust in storage and I sold my oxygen concentrator and I walk every day and occasionally jog.” He continues, “I no longer set limits on what exercise or anything else I can do!”
The Proof of a Cure is Found with the Patient, Not in a Lab StudyAlthough Jeff cannot say with certainty, based on COPD medical tests, that he has actually cured or reversed his COPD structurally. However, he can say unequivocally that his life has completely turned around since he started cannabis oil therapy, changed his diet, began exercising, and ditched all Big Pharma drugs. For sure, COPD symptoms and related distress are no longer center stage in Jeff’s life. Jeff says when he has the resources to validate his recovery from COPD vis-a-vis medical testing he will.
Bottom line: Functionally Jeff is operating at the level of a person without COPD. Jeff confidently reiterates: “I can tell you that my body tells me something different has occurred! I am no longer dependent on pharma drugs and oxygen.”
Jeff’s COPD ProtocolJeff has been using a particular type of cannabis oil known as FECO (Full Extract Cannabis Oil) made with 190 proof, food grade alcohol (organic is best if possible) and organic cannabis strains consisting of mostly buds and trim. The specific cannabis strains that are extracted to make Jeff’ potent cannabis oil are: OG Pineapple Kush, AK47 and Blue Dream.
Each cannabis strain has a unique healing profile based on several constituent factors such as the quality of its terpenes, the amount of THC, CBD and so on. In fact, specific cannabis strains have been documented to work well for specific health conditions. Strain guide: The cannabis oil Jeff uses is 67% THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and .5%CBD (Cannabidiol). [5a]
